THINK Application & Selection Process

Eligibility

In order to be eligible an applicant must:

• be 13–16 years of age during THINK
• be a U.S. citizen or permanent U.S. resident living in the United States
• commit to being a full-time student from July 12 to August 2, which does not allow absences
• meet or exceed the designated scores on the SAT or ACT as listed below
• receive positive nominations from two individuals as specified in the application

Selection

Due to the intense nature of the program, the THINK Summer Institute is limited to 60 students. Applicants must demonstrate both exceptional ability and the potential to benefit from the course offerings, as well as the social and emotional maturity and organizational skills to thrive in this three-week residential environment.

Applications are reviewed by a committee of individuals from both the Davidson Institute for Talent Development and the University of Nevada, Reno.
