". . . a place where we can feel at home"

The online community is an active place consisting of discussion forums, chat rooms, electronic mailing lists and private websites; all meant to encourage interaction within the Young Scholar community. It's a place where you can particiapate as time allows and where there is always something new.
Here are some of the program's primary elements:
Young Scholars Private Website (YSPW)
YSPW is the hub of our online community. It is the central location for program
information as well as a place where Young Scholar families can connect with
each other and have a bit of fun!
"It's cool emailing with other kids who think like me!" -Young Scholar
On YSPW, Young Scholar families will find a directory where they can learn more
about other Young Scholars, participate in monthly challenges, view information on the upcoming annual Summit, read the Young Scholars online newspaper,
and much, much more.
Online Bulletin Boards, Chat Rooms and Email Lists
The bulletin boards, chat rooms and email lists provide Young Scholars an opportunity to interact with one another online. Young Scholar parents can also connect with one another through their own bulletin boards, chat rooms and email lists.
Online Seminars for Parents
Our monthly online seminars offer parents the opportunity to interact with both recognized experts as well as other parents (often the unrecognized experts) to discuss parenting challenges, ranging from friendships to adolescence to early college experiences.
Colloquia for Young Scholars
These have become especially popular with the Young Scholars. The online colloquia provide Young Scholars an opportunity to interact with professionals in a wide variety of fields, from game theory and 3-D animation to the art of mathematics, The Lord of the Rings, how to handle bullies, and so on.
